Margaret is a talented performance coach/manager known to exceed performance expectations. Experience includes knowledge in telecom, financial services, human resources, pharmaceuticals, marketing, tax preparation, higher education, recovery, customer service, marketing and sales. Having over 15 years of performance coaching experience in service and sales environments, she is skilled at recruiting, employee development and process improvement using root cause analysis and performance metric analysis. Margaret has mastery level skills in career coaching, presentation delivery, HR Practices and business process/performance improvement. Margaret holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Margaret holds a project management certificate. Margaret is certified in Behavioral Coaching, an approach that focuses on the behaviors and not the person. Margaret is a seasoned entrepreneur and business development coach who appeals to a variety of audiences.

Margaret is most widely known as, “Ms. D”, the Job Coach. In 2015, Margaret DeBellotte-Torres launched her brand, “Ms. D, the Job Coach”, and established her business; a business consulting and job coaching service.

Being an Ambassador allows me to go out into the community and share the mission of Dress for Success Worldwide and promote interest in our Tampa Bay Affiliate.

Dress for Success is a global not-for-profit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

Since starting operations in 1997, Dress for Success has expanded to more than 140 cities in 19 countries and has helped more than 850,000 women work towards self-sufficiency.

Job Developer Pinellas Ex-Offender Re-Entry Coalition

Cultivating job opportunities for the ex-offender population within Pinellas County. Building relationships with employers to support appropriate job placement for qualified candidates. Instructing applicants pre and post incarceration in resume writing, job search and interview techniques. Conducting follow up interview to develop career planning strategies for successfully employed applicants.

Human Resource Development Specialist II

Primary functions included increasing employee productivity through development of sales skills, technical knowledge and presentation skills. Margaret was also responsible for development and growth with the frontline managers in the areas of HR practices as well as coaching skills.
While with Sprint Margaret spearheaded a year long project titled “Partners for Success”; a performance breakthrough that improved performance of customer service and retention representatives on average, 55%. This achievement earned Margaret and annual outstanding achievement award in 2001. Additionally, Margaret was individually recognizing for coaching the performance improvement of two retail store managers who were at levels of corrective action that would have been career altering. Through individual coaching sessions and Performance Development plans using the “Grow Coaching or Inside-Out Coaching” model Margaret was able to isolate the root causes and barriers to improving the overall performance for these individuals and improve their performance in a way that aligned them for career advancement within Sprint Nextel.
